Apart from the cost of routine advertising and the salaries of Civil Service staff engaged in press and information duties in the Department of Finance, the Office of the Revenue Commissioners and the Office of Public Works, no money has been provided in 1988 or 1989 for either press and information or public relations activities in my area of responsibility.
