Vol. 384 No. 9

Written Answers. - National Lottery Fund Application.

101.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he has received an application for the allocation of funds from the proceeds of the national lottery towards the provision of facilities at the athletic track in the vocational school grounds, Newbridge, County Kildare; if he will give favourable consideration to this application, if he accepts the urgent need for such facilities in this densely populated area; if he will be able to facilitate the club in its application either in the current year or in 1989; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have received an application for a grant under the amenity grants scheme for this project. All the national lottery funds made available to me in connection with the 1988 amenity grants scheme have already been allocated. This project, together with all other projects brought to my attention, will be considered for grant assistance in the event of additional national lottery funds being made available for the scheme.
