A provision of £45,000 has been included in my Department's Estimates for 1989 for the National College of Industrial Relations. While the overall Estimate for my Department in 1989 has been reduced by 6% compared with this year's allocation, the Government have decided to maintain the grant at the 1988 level. This is in recognition of the important work which the college does in the area of industrial relations education and training.
