Vol. 385 No. 1

Written Answers. - Housing Grants.

62.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in the payment of a new house grant to a person (details supplied) in County Louth.

There is no record of the receipt of an application for a new house grant from the person named at the address given. There is however an application from a person with the same name and a slightly different address; in that case the grant was paid in December 1984.

63.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason a new house grant has not been paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork in light of the fact that VAT paid receipts of over £19,000 have been furnished by the person; and if he will arrange to have the grant paid.

A new house grant cannot be allowed as contrary to a condition of the scheme a registered contractor was not involved in the construction of the house.

64.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason house improvement grant approval for a person (details supplied) in County Meath will not be transferred to another person (details supplied) in County Meath who purchased the property; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

There is no record of the receipt of an application for a house improvement grant from either of the persons named.
