Vol. 385 No. 2

Written Answers. - Transfer of Teacher.

217.

asked the Minister for Education the reason a teacher was taken from Fossa national school, Killarney, County Kerry and transferred to another primary school.

The staffing arrangements in national schools in the current school year have been determined in accordance with the agreement between the Government and the INTO, worked out under the auspices of the Central Review Committee for the Programme for National Recovery. Under these arrangements one teaching post in the school in question became surplus to requirements and the teacher concerned was facilitated through the operation of the panel scheme in obtaining an alternative post in another school.
