Vol. 386 No. 1

Written Answers. - Land Certificate Application.

72.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will expedite a land certificate in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Wexford in view of the fact that the local authority with whom the person concerned had a mortgage lost his deeds and the delay is very costly.

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that an application for a duplicate land certificate was lodged in the Land Registry on 15 February 1988, by the solicitors for the person referred to in the question. The Land Registry processed the application and on 10 May they requested the solicitors to lodge the necessary requisition and fee. They sent a reminder on 27 July. The requisition and fee were received in the Land Registry on 7 December and the land certificate issued on 11 January.
