Building Societies Bill, 1988: Order for Second Stage.

Bill entitled an Act to make further and better provision with respect to building societies and to provide for related matters.

Minister for the Environment (Mr. Flynn):

I move: "That Second Stage be ordered for Tuesday, 31 January 1989", subject to agreement between the Whips.

The Minister's answer is in the usual form and I appreciate that but may I inquire if it is likely that this legislation will be taken this term?
