Vol. 386 No. 2

Written Answers. - New Ross (Wexford) to Waterford National Primary Route.

38.

asked the Minister for the Environment if his attention has been drawn to the condition of the national primary route between New Ross, County Wexford, and Waterford; if he intends providing finance this year to realign this road; the amount of an allocation which will be made available; when work will commence; when work will be completed; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I am aware of the need to undertake major improvement works to this section of road and my Department has approved proposals prepared by Kilkenny County Council for this purpose. The question of funding in 1989 will be decided in the context of this year's road grant allocations which will be finalised within the next two to three weeks.
