Vol. 386 No. 7

Written Answers. - Primary School Records.

130.

asked the Minister for Education if all primary schools are required to pass on records concerning each student to the second level schools to which their pupils graduate.

Under the terms of Circular 7/68 the principal teachers of national schools are obliged to ensure that a school record card is completed in respect of each pupil in 5th and 6th standard, and that these cards are forwarded to the principal teachers of the schools (post-primary or otherwise) to which the pupils transfer.
