I am aware that the question of providing a short take off and landing airport in the Dublin Docks area is under consideration at present by private interests. However, no formal proposals in the matter have been received by either myself or by my Department from the promoters of the project. Some informal discussions have taken place with the promoters of the project in relation to such aspects as the licensing of any such airport, the authorisation of services and the need for appropriate safety and security standards.
