, Limerick West): During my term of office to date I have established — (a) the Defence Review Committee to carry out a review of the Defence area including Civil Defence, and (b) the Inter-Departmental Committee on Defence Forces Pay, Allowances and Conditions to examine and report on the pay, allowances and conditions of officers, non-commissioned ranks and privates in the defence Forces.
I have not abolished any commission, committee inter-departmental committee, working party or State-sponsored body.
