Vol. 387 No. 10

Written Answers. - Revised Western Package.

77.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the delay in the implementation of the provisions in the revised western package relating to the improvement of living conditions of farm families and the development of their incomes through nontraditional farm enterprises; and when it is expected that such provisions will be implemented.

The method of applying this section of the revised western package had to be the subject of consultations with the EC Commission. A scheme to implement the measure is now being finalised in conjunction with the Commission and details will be announced as soon as possible.
