I have no immediate proposals for change in the representation in the Seanad of third level educational institutions. The question of any change in this regard would be a matter for consideration in the context of a general review of the structures of third level education.

43. Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for the Environment when it is intended to give effect to proposals to broaden the representation of third level institutions in Seanad Éireann as provided for in the 7th Amendment to Bunreacht na hÉireann passed in 1979.
