The following are the islands concerned:—Bere Island, Clear Island, Dursey Island, Hare Island, Long Island, Sherkin Island.
The programme for integrated rural development does not extend to Inchydoney Island. For practical purposes it was decided to include only those islands which have no access, by way of a bridge or causeway, to the mainland.
