asked the Minister for Education the number of regulations which she introduced since assuming office; and the Act or Acts of the Oireachtas from which she purported to have the authority of the imposition of each regulation.

I have introduced the following regulations as Minister for Education:

(i) "The Rules and Programme for Secondary Schools 1987-88 and 1988-89"—made in pursuance and by virtue of The Intermediate Education (Ireland) Acts, 1878 to 1924

(ii) "The Vocational Education (Grants for Annual Schemes of Committees) Regulations, 1987 and 1988"— made in pursuance and by virtue of The Vocational Education Act, 1930

(iii) The designation of St. John's College, Waterford under the National Council for Educational Awards Act, 1979 as an institution to which that Act applies.
