Vol. 388 No. 8

Written Answers. - Toilets and Shower Units at Shannonbridge.

88.

asked the Minister for Finance if he has any plans for the provision of proper toilets and shower units at Shannonbridge, County Offaly, in view of the large number of visitors using the River Shannon each year who require these facilities.

I have no immediate plans for the provision of toilets and shower units at Shannonbridge. It has been the practice heretofore for local authorities to provide public toilets at harbours along the Shannon. The need for such facilities at Shannonbridge will be investigated by the Commissioners of Public Works in conjunction with the local authority.
