Only a token sum of £5,000 is provided at subhead G.1(v) of my Department's Vote under the heading "Environmental and Community Works" towards the provision of community centres on non-Gaeltacht islands. This is because no applications for such grants have been made in recent years. Assistance for centres on Gaeltacht islands is a matter for Roinn na Gaeltachta.
