Vol. 389 No. 1

Written Answers. - Chapelizod, Dublin, Tree Felling.

125.

asked the Minister for Energy if he will investigate the cutting of trees adjacent to the River Liffey at Chapelizod, Dublin 20; who carried out the cutting; and if official approval was given for the operation.

My Department has no authority over the felling of trees adjacent to the River Liffey at Chapelizod, Dublin 20 as these trees are in an urban district and are, therefore, excluded from the requirements of the Forestry Act, 1946. Any complaints about tree felling in this area should be directed to Dublin Corporation.
