Vol. 389 No. 1

Written Answers. - County Wexford Project.

91.

asked the Minister for Health if he or the South Eastern Health Board have considered an application by the Sue Ryder Organisation to provide facilities for 25 young disabled persons for a project (details supplied) in County Wexford; and the likelihood of future funding for such a project.

I have indicated in reply to representations on this matter that the location of the facility, remote from a centre of population, makes it unsuitable for the needs of the young chronic sick. However, I have expressed my support for any proposal to use the facility in question which would have the support of the South Eastern Health Board. I have agreed in this respect to meet representatives of the Sue Ryder Foundation.
