asked the Minister for the Environment the total amount of moneys allocated to each local authority in the State for the repair, maintenance and strengthening of their county road network for 1989.

I assume the Deputy is referring to the discretionary grants for regional and county roads, totalling £47.4 million, which were notified to county councils on 9 March 1989. The allocation to each county council is as follows:
