Vol. 389 No. 2

Written Answers. - County Louth School Grant.

142.

asked the Minister for Education the reason for the delay in the allocation of a grant for the repair of the roof of the gym and floor of St. Vincent's post-primary school, Dundalk, County Louth; and when a grant will be allocated.

By letter dated 12 December 1988, the principal of this school advised my Department of problems with the roof and floor of the school gymnasium and stated that a consultant architect had been asked to submit tenders for the repair work involved. To date my Department has not received any further details or proposals in the matter. Accordingly, in the absence of full particulars of the improvements, including an estimate of the cost of the work, my Department is not in a position at this stage to consider the question of a grant.
