Vol. 389 No. 3

Written Answers. - Tax Free Allowance.

50.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will correct an error in the determination of a tax free allowance for a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.

The Revenue Commissioners have advised me that an amended certificate of tax free allowances for the current year granting the taxpayer an element of marginal relief was issued by the inspector of taxes on 26 April 1989. Any tax which has been overdeducted from the taxpayer's retirement pension since 6 April 1989 will be refunded to him by the payer of that pension when the amended certificate is put into operation.
