Vol. 389 No. 4

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

98.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when payment of a grant will issue to a person (details supplied) in County Cork; and if his attention has been drawn to the fact that this person is in a serious financial position and is urgently in need of this payment.

Under the revised western package, grant aid for investment by dairy farmers in animal housing and fodder storage is conditional on their remaining within their permanent milk quota in the year of approval and the year of certification for payment of the grant. The applicant has been requested to supply evidence of this in order that arrangements can be made for payment of the grant.

99.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when payment of a suckling premium and a bullock premium will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Cork; and the reason for the delay in having this issued.

The person named will be paid suckler cow premium, special beef premium and calf premium shortly. Payment has been delayed somewhat by a problem involving staff which has been resolved to the point where payment can now be made.

100.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Offaly will receive payment of a young farmer's installation aid grant.

The applicant has appealed the initial decision in this case. I am having the matter re-examined and will inform the applicant and the Deputy of the outcome.
