Vol. 389 No. 6

Written Answers. - Pedestrian Overbridges.

35.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he received a deputation from residents' associations from the Walkinstown area, Dublin 12, in connection with the provision of pedestrian overbridges in Tymon North Park, Tallaght, Dublin 24; if so, the type of representations presented to him; his response to the deputation; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

On 26 April 1989 I received a deputation from representatives of the Limekiln Farm Community Council concerning their request for funding for pedestrian overbridges across the Western Parkway Motorway in Tymon North Regional Park. I informed the deputation that the cost of providing an overbridge, in a central location, would be accepted as a charge against State road grants for the Western Parkway Motorway.

The local authority, Dublin County Council, have now been invited to submit, to my Department for approval, preliminary design proposals and details of the precise location of an overbridge.
