Vol. 389 No. 7

Written Answers. - Howth (Dublin) Harbour Facilities.

131.

asked the Minister for the Marine the plans he has to provide facilities for fishermen at Howth, County Dublin; and the extent to which the old yacht club on the west pier will be used to provide necessary facilities for fishermen working from the harbour.

A ministerial order transfering the property of the Commissioners of Public Works at Howth Harbour, including the old yacht club premises on the west pier, is in course of preparation and should be in operation shortly. When the property transfer has been completed it is intended that part of the old yacht club premises which contains showers and toilet facilities will be offered on lease to the Howth Fishermen's Association.
