Finance Bill, 1989: Allocation of Time.

I move:

That notwithstanding anything in Standing Orders—

(i) the Dáil shall sit later than 9 p.m. today and tomorrow and the hour at which business is to be interrupted on these days shall be 10 p.m. and 10.30 p.m. respectively; and

(ii) in the case of the Finance Bill, 1989, the following arrangements shall apply:—

(a) motions for Financial Resolutions in connection with the Bill shall be taken without debate and shall be decided by one question and

(b) the proceedings on the Committee Stage of the Bill shall be brought to a conclusion in accordance with the following time table.—

and where proceedings have not concluded by the stated time, they shall be brought to a conclusion by one Question, which shall be put from the Chair, and which shall in relation to amendments, include only amendments set down by the Minister for Finance.
