asked the Minister for the Environment when the EOLAS report on the full burning fire will be available; if it will be published; when it is expected that a date will be set for the oral hearing into the establishment of smoke control zone B in Ballyfermot, Dublin 10; if, in the light of the fact that there were no objections made to the establishment of smoke control zone C, he will confirm that order; if the grants available to those in zone A will also be available to people in other zones; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

An EOLAS report on smoke emission tests carried out on a number of domestic solid fuels and appliances was submitted to me last week. Copies of this and another related report are being made available to interested parties, and have been placed in the Dáil Library.
I have directed that an oral hearing in relation to Dublin Corporation's Special Control Area (Ballyfermot Area B) Order, 1988 should commence on 7 June 1989. I will consider confirmation of this order, and that for Ballyfermot Area C, in the light of the report and recommendations emerging from the oral hearing. I intend that grant schemes similar to that applying to Ballyfermot Area A would be available in respect of other areas if and when special control area orders are confirmed.
