The "Riverwatch" project was one of 11 different projects which were entered by ECO for awards under the environment awareness award scheme, 1988. The various entries were considered by an adjudication panel established for the purpose of the scheme, and on foot of the recommendations of the panel, ECO received an award of £1,000 in respect of another of their projects.
