asked the Minister for Health the current capacity of operating theatres for ear, nose and throat operations; if he will give a breakdown of the current waiting lists for the different type of selective ear, nose and throat surgery work, for example, the draining of fluid from the ear through grommets; the proposals he has to improve access to these services; and if he has satisfied himself with the current position.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 28 and 73 together. The detailed information requested by the Deputy is not available on a routine basis to my Department. However, the information supplied by hospitals to my Department is set out below. My Department is keeping the issue of access to elective procedures under review and is addressing particular problems where they arise:
