Vol. 389 No. 9

Written Answers. - Water and Sewerage Schemes.

59.

asked the Minister for the Environment the name and number of water and sewerage schemes submitted by Kildare County Council to his Department for approval and funding under the small schemes in the current year; whether he will make a positive response to any or all of these submissions; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Kildare County Council submitted the following five schemes for inclusion in the small schemes programme for 1989: Staplestown water supply, Kilkea sewage treatment plant, Kilmeague treatment plant, Kildangan treatment plant, improvement and extension to Clane sewerage scheme.

I have approved a grant of £32,000 in respect of the Staplestown water supply scheme and the county council was notified of this on 12 April 1989.
