Vol. 389 No. 9

Written Answers. - National Lottery Allocations.

60.

asked the Minister for the Environment if his attention has been drawn to the plans for the development of the Newbridge athletic track, County Kildare; if he has received an application for funds possibly from the proceeds of the national lottery through Kildare County Council to complete development; if he will give favourable consideration to this application in the current year; if there are any funds other than from the proceeds of the national lottery available for such works; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have received an application for a grant under the amenity grants scheme for this project. If further national lottery funds become available for the scheme, I will consider the project for funding in conjunction with the many other applications which have been made. There are no other funds at my disposal from which I could assist the project.
