Finance Bill, 1989: Financial Resolution.

I move:

That provision be made in the Act giving effect to this Resolution that at the time a bookmaker receives payment of the amount of a bet he shall require from the person from whom the bet is received an additional payment of an amount equal to the amount of the excise duty payable on the amount of that bet under section 24 of the Finance Act, 1926, and shall not otherwise accept payment of a bet.
