Vol. 390 No. 1

Written Answers. - Social Welfare Benefits.

78.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare when outstanding arrears of unemployment assistance will be paid to a person (details supplied) in Dublin 15; and the reason for the delay in this case.

The person concerned claimed unemployment assistance at Navan Road employment exchange on 12 April 1989 having transferred from Ennis employment exchange.

Pending receipt of his papers from Ennis he was paid supplementary welfare allowance of £82.20 by the Eastern Health Board in respect of the period 12 April to 18 April.

Arrears of unemployment assistance due from 5 April to 18 April were paid to him on 10 May, less the £82.20 supplementary allowance recouped to the Eastern Health Board.

Further weekly payments of £90.40 will continue to be made to him as they become due.
