Vol. 390 No. 1

Written Answers. - Bond Bridge, County Kildare.

108.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he has received in his Department proposals incorporating the final design in respect of road and bridge realignments at Bond Bridge, Maynooth, County Kildare; when it is proposed to approve this design; if he proposes any changes prior to approval; and whether finance will be made available for the project in the event of the approval of final design.

The preliminary report for this scheme is being examined in my Department at present and a decision thereon will be issued to the local authority shortly.

Bond Bridge is located on a regional road. Primary reponsibility for improvement work on such roads rests with the local authority, with the funding normally being met from local resources supplemented by discretionary road grants for regional and county roads.
