Vol. 390 No. 2

Written Answers. - Maharees (Kerry) Coastal Protection.

56.

asked the Minister for Finance if he has any proposals regarding coastal protection for the Maharees, County Kerry.

A number of proposals for coast protection works at the Maharees have been made by Kerry County Council and these have been under consideration for some time by the Commissioners of Public Works with a view to making the required determinations as to the feasibility of schemes, pursuant to the Coast Protection Act, 1963. Work is proceeding on aspects of these determinations and, given the limited resources available, it is expected that they will be completed in the near future.
