asked the Minister for Education the present position regarding the need for extended facilities at Ballymore Eustace national school, County Kildare; if she will quantify the full extent of the required facilities at present; the possible time schedule for the achievement of same; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

My Department has recently grant-aided extensive repairs to Ballymore Eustace national school. It is not proposed to proceed with the extension as planned in the immediate future. My Department will review the case regularly having due regard to enrolment trends at the school.

asked the Minister for Education the present position regarding the provision of an extension and extra facilities at Kilmeague national school, County Kildare; if and when it is proposed to provide the extended facilities; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

These prefabricated classrooms have recently been replaced at Kilmeague national school, County Kildare under grant aid. Another prefab was replaced by an insurance company following a fire. Therefore in these circumstances there are no plans to provide an extension in the immediate future.

asked the Minister for Education the present position regarding the provision of an extension and extra facilities at Crookstown national school, County Kildare; when it is proposed to provide the extended facilities; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

The extension to Crookstown national school, County Kildare is at sketch scheme stage. Due to financial cutbacks in my Department it is not possible to proceed with the erection of an extension at present. The case will be reviewed regularly having due regard to enrolment trends at the school.
