Vol. 390 No. 4

Written Answers. - County Kildare Clubs Grant Applications.

114.

asked the Minister for Education having regard to Parliamentary Questions Nos. 94, 96 and 98 of 10 May 1989, the way in which the secretaries of the clubs involved have received acknowledgments from her Department in respect of grant application; if no applications were received from the clubs in question; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

Representations were received in respect of Celbridge and Kilcock GAA Clubs but no record can be found in my Department of any formal applications being received.

Having regard to Parliamentary Questions Nos. 94, 96 and 98 of 10 May 1989, it was incorrectly stated, due to a temporary misplacement of the application, that no formal application has been received in respect of Maynooth GAA Club. In fact such an application was received and acknowledged directly to the Deputy on 31 August 1988. Due to the limit on funds available relative to the hundreds of applications received I was not in a position to allocate a grant to this project.
