My Department has received an application from the school authorities for an additional teacher to be appointed from next September. Such an appointment is not warranted by the school's enrolment on 30 September 1988, which determines the staffing for the 1989-90 school-year as laid down in the agreement between the Government and the INTO. The school does not comply with the criteria for classification as a developing school, so no exception can be made in this regard.
