Health Ombudsman Bill, 1989: Order for Second Stage.

Bill entitled an Act to provide for the establishment of a health ombudsman, to make provision for the investigation of complaints in relation to the provision of medical and surgical services in public hospitals with particular reference to procedures contrary to sound principles of hospital administration and to practices which amount to a misdirection, misuse or waste of public moneys, to provide for a complaints and appeals machinery in relation to same and to provide for connected matters as aforesaid.

I move: "That Second Stage be ordered for Private Members' time today."
