Vol. 390 No. 4

Written Answers. - County Cork Company Closure.

69.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if his attention has been drawn to the pending closure of a company (details supplied) in County Cork with the resultant redundancies of almost 30 workers; and the steps he proposes to take to rectify the matter.

I am aware of the pending closure of the company in County Cork. I would like to assure the Deputy that the Industrial Development Authority are co-operating fully with the receiver in his efforts to dispose of the company as a going concern. I am sure the Deputy will appreciate that any comment on ongoing discussions would be inappropriate at this time.
