Vol. 390 No. 4

Written Answers. - Grant and Mortgage Subsidy Payments.

79.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in payment of a new house grant and mortgage subsidy in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Mayo.

Following the recent receipt of outstanding documentation in this case, an inspection, with a view to approval and payment of the grant, will be carried out as soon as possible.

80.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will award payment of a house improvement grant to a person (details supplied) in County Cork; if his attention has been drawn to the fact that all the necessary documentation to prove ownership of this house has been lodged with his Department; that this family are on very expensive bridging accommodation; and that the delay in having payment issued is depriving this family of money to which they are entitled.

The receipt of certain information previously requested from the applicant is awaited.
