90.

asked the Minister for the Environment, in respect of each local authority, the number of landlords prosecuted for non-compliance with the Housing (Private Rented Dwellings) (Standard) Regulations, 1984; the number of landlords convicted; the fines imposed; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

91.

asked the Minister for the Environment the number of tenants of formerly controlled dwellings who have applied to the courts in order to seek enforcement by their landlord to carry out repairs under the new terms of tenancy; the outcome of these applications; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

92.

asked the Minister for the Environment the number of formerly controlled dwellings which were registered with local authorities at 31 December 1988 in (a) Dublin and (b) the whole country; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 90, 91 and 92 together.

The administration of the regulations in respect of formerly controlled dwellings is a matter for local authorities. The following information is, however, available:

Data in respect of 1988 is at present being compiled.

I do not have information on the number of tenants of formerly controlled dwellings who have applied to the courts seeking enforcement of their new terms of tenancy. Such information may be available from the Department of Justice.
