Vol. 390 No. 5

Written Answers. - Land Registry Folio.

21.

asked the Minister for Justice the reason a land registry folio (details supplied) in County Donegal is not at present available for inspection in the Central Office, Chancery Street, Dublin 7; and the steps which are being taken to have this folio made available.

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that the folio which is the subject of the question is an omnibus type folio containing details of the registration of upwards of 1,400 properties. Donegal County Council is the registered owner of the folio, which is constantly in demand in the Central Office of the Land Registry for a range of services such as copy extracts, copy maps and dealing lodgments. Accordingly, it may not always be readily available for inspection. I understand, however, that the folio in question is now available for inspection at the Central Office. I understand also that a copy of this folio is available for inspection in the local Land Registry office in Letterkenny.
