Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Anglo-Irish Conference.

42.

asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs when it is proposed to hold the next meeting of the Anglo-Irish Conference; and the matters which will be discussed at it.

The next meeting of the Anglo-Irish Conference is planned to take place shortly.

As this will be the first Conference since the conclusion of the review, we will obviously wish to discuss the programme of work for the period ahead. The Conference will also discuss the full range of issues of current interest and concern.

These will include developments during the marching season, the passage of new fair employment legislation at Westminister, the question of issuing plastic bullets to the UDR, progress in relation to prison releases, as well as a review of the security situation.
