The Taoiseach, on a number of occasions, has publicly invited the leaders of the Unionist community to meet with him without preconditions or prejudice to the position of either side. This invitation still stands. I am hopeful that, with the election period behind us, both in the North and South, it will now be possible to strengthen and deepen our contacts with Unionists over the coming months.
