Vol. 391 No. 7

Written Answers. - Housing and Amenity Grants.

64.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will ensure payment of a house improvement grant of £6,000 for a person (details supplied) in County Waterford in view of the fact that this person is a registered builder and carried out all the works with his son.

A grant cannot be paid because the applicant has informed the Department that he carried out the works himself.

65.

asked the Minister for the Environment the present position regarding an application by Waterford Harbour Sub-Aqua Club for an amenity grant.

If further national lottery funds become available for the amenity grants scheme I will consider the project for funding in conjunction with the many other applications which have been made.
