Vol. 391 No. 7

Written Answers. - Mulhussey (County Meath) School.

80.

asked the Minister for Education the present position in regard to the provision of a new building at Mulhussey national school, County Meath.

A major extension to Mulhussey national school, County Meath, had been proposed but it was not possible for it to proceed because of a decline in enrolments and the general financial situation. It is necessary to carry out a review of projected enrolments to establish the size of the extension which would now be warranted for the school. This review will be completed as early as possible and a decision will be conveyed to the school authorities.

The chairman of the board of management of the school recently submitted proposals for the provision of a teachers' room, toilets and general improvements. This is being considered by my Department's architect and when his report is available the question of the sanction of a grant will be considered and a decision conveyed promptly to the school authorities.
