asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will reconsider the application of a person (details supplied) in County Kildare for a sheep subsidy having regard to the fact that the application was refused on the grounds of a late application but keeping in mind that where similar circumstances have prevailed the subsidy has been paid; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The person named does not qualify for 1987 ewe premium grants because his application form was dated after and was not received before the closing date of 11 March 1988. He did not apply for the 1988 ewe premium.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Cork will be paid a sheep subsidy grant.

Payment of ewe premium will be made to the person named in the near future.
