The question of the rationalisation of commercial harbours is appropriate for consideration by a review group which is being established by me to undertake a comprehensive examination of existing harbours legislation.
I intend to consider how best the rationalisation of harbour authorities in the Shannon Estuary can be advanced, in parallel with this comprehensive review.
