Vol. 392 No. 2

Written Answers. - Gorey (Wexford) Schools.

86.

asked the Minister for Education when construction will start on the new post primary school in Gorey, County Wexford; in view of the large number of prefabricated facilities being used by the three post primary schools there and the length of time for which these improvements have been sought, if she will give an undertaking that work will commence in 1990; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

89.

asked the Minister for Education when it is proposed to start work on the new secondary school in Gorey, County Wexford; and if an allocation for the work will be included in the Estimates due shortly.

90.

asked the Minister for Education if, in view of the deplorable condition of three post-primary schools in Gorey, County Wexford, she will give a commitment to the people of that town and area to begin work at the earliest date; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 86, 89 and 90 together.

I am not in a position at present to indicate when construction work will commence on the post primary complex in Gorey, as the funding of this and all other post primary capital projects is dependent on the availability of future capital resources and on my Department's other commitments and priorities.
